Thursday – July 9
Today, our campers experienced one of the most important days of the camp—exam day. It was a wonderful opportunity to test all the knowledge and skills the participants had acquired over two weeks of training, discussions, hands-on activities, and teamwork. The exams served as a culmination of the entire journey and demonstrated just how much each camper had learned.
In the evening, everyone enjoyed a Texas-style farewell dinner filled with delicious food, good cheer, and heartfelt conversations. The day ended with a fun party where everyone danced, laughed, and created memories that will remain in their hearts for a long time to come.
The camp is coming to an end, but even today we can say with confidence: this training will leave its mark on each of us.
Wednesday – July 8
A Day of Preparation, Learning, and Review! Today, our students spent the day reviewing all the material they’ve studied over the past two weeks. With the exam coming up, everyone had the chance to reinforce their knowledge and prepare for tomorrow.
A particularly interesting session was the discussion with renowned investigative journalist Viktor Malarek, who shared his experience and knowledge. We sincerely thank Mr. Viktor for the books he donated, as well as the Ucrainica Research Institute and the Peterson Literary Fund for their generous sponsorship. These publications will be a valuable source of knowledge for our young cymivci.
Today, the participants also presented the projects they had been working diligently on for two weeks. Each team demonstrated excellent results, creativity, and the ability to work together.
Ahead of us lies the final day of the training program and the concluding exam. We wish our trainees success, confidence in their abilities, and outstanding results!
Tuesday – July 7
Another day at Vyshkil brought new knowledge, teamwork, and many unforgettable moments.
After the morning roll call, the campers took part in a discussion with Oksana Sokolyk about modern Ukraine, as well as a discussion with Natalia Tereshchenko, a member of the Lviv Regional Council of CYM in Ukraine, who shared her experience and knowledge of CYM.
In the afternoon, everyone had the chance to relax and cool off with a dip in the water, after which they continued working on their group projects.
After dinner, a “FIFA”-style soccer tournament took place, during which each team represented a different country. The competition was full of excitement, friendly rivalry, and genuine emotions, serving as a wonderful conclusion to yet another eventful day at camp.
Monday – July 6
Today Vyshkil was packed with learning, dancing, and creativity!
Throughout the day, campers took part in interesting discussions where they learned more about ecocide in Ukraine, the ins and outs of organizing games and activities with children, and received practical advice on working with the youngest camp participants.
