On Tuesday, July 7 the campers celebrated St. John the Baptist’s Feast Day and the Ivano Kupalo.
In the morning the campers rotated through three 45 minute classes on leadership, sumoznavstvo and current events in Ukraine. In the afternoon, Tanya Choly, the program director from St. Catherines held a workshop on Ivano Kupalo.
Despite the wet weather, the campers celebrated Ivano Kupalo by first renewing their baptismal vows at the chapel and then proceeding to the pool to continue celebrations. Girls threw flowered headdresses into the water which were courageously retrieved by the boys.
