On Sunday, July 14, the recreational overnight camp “Illuminating Path” dedicated to all the CYMivci fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine began at camp Werchowyna near Chertsey, Quebec. This year over 70 youth and 20 staff members are participating.

The children began their first full day of camp by having morning apel. Morning activities included writing letters to Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline, making mini-treehouses, sport and learning the CYMivskyy hymn. Today was a very hot day so to cool down the kids enjoyed a swim in the lake.
Before dinner time, the kids were taken on a stroll to Khmelnytskyy ozero. The day ended with an apel and the kids working on the banner for the camp’s name.
