it is with great sadness that we inform you about the passing of Lesia Szwaluk last Friday, April 3, 2026 at the age of 75. Lesia Szwaluk was a former Vice President of CYM’s World Executive, longtime member the CYM Canada’s National Executive as well as President of the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada, Winnipeg Branch.

We extend to her husband Nelson, children, Oksana (Odin Pajonk) and Wolodymyr (Svitlana Szwaluk-Kies) as well as extended families our deepest condolences.

The details of the funeral arrangements, are as follows:

Funeral Liturgy (Parastas) will be held at the UCC of Sts Volodymyr & Olha, next Monday at 6:30 pm (115 McGregor St., Winnipeg, MB R2W 4V6).
