Dear Donors,

On behalf of the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada, please accept our sincerest gratitude for your generous gift in conjunction with the second annual charitable summer camp “We are Ukraine” for internally displaced Ukrainian children as well as for children of Ukrainian soldiers fighting in Eastern Ukraine.

We are proud to announce that including your generous gift, we were able to collect over $6,500 via our crowdsourcing campaign and $2,500 in direct donations for a total of $9,000. Thanks to you, the UYA of Canada was able to cover the costs for more than the originally pledged 25 children out of the 150 participants who attended the camp, which took place at the Rovesnyk Base in Chervonohrad, Lviv Region, Ukraine from August 1-12, 2016. See: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/send-a-ukrainian-displaced-child-to-camp-2016-ukraine-youth#/

The camp was a great success as it allowed for children ranging in age from 5 to 15 years, many of whom had lost their beloved fathers, grandfathers, brothers, or were internally displaced due to the war in Eastern Ukraine, to come together from all corners of Ukraine, including the regions of Donbas, Khmelnytsky, Dnipro, Chernihiv and Halychyna, and form new friendships. As a small token of our appreciation, you will find a personal thank-you note from one happy camper!

Sincerely,
