Sponsorship of Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada’s 70th anniversary

We are delighted to inform you that the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada is celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the organization’s founding in Canada and kindly ask that you join us in marking this milestone by becoming a sponsor of our celebrations.
Throughout the last seven decades the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada has educated generations of young Ukrainians with the aim of instilling a sense of Ukrainian heritage, culture and identity. The multi-faceted program emphasizes the development of Christian ethics, good character, leadership skills and community involvement.
Celebrations are planned throughout the year, including during our spring fest, summer camps and various festivals. We will begin, however, with a formal banquet in conjunction with our Annual General Meeting to be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3625 Cawthra Road, in Mississauga, Ontario. We have also begun work on two major projects to mark our 70th anniversary that will both document the multi-faceted history of our organization, and share our achievements with our membership and the broader Ukrainian community in Canada.
Project A – Recording interviews with the Organization’s founders and past presidents – with the aim of collecting and archiving individual stories of past generations and producing a documentary about the history of the UYA in Canada.
Project B – Scanning and archiving historical documents and photographs – including any other written or visual material to complete the existing archive of the UYA of Canada. With the help of these materials we are planning to conduct a year-long social media campaign focusing on the themes: Community, Heritage, Leadership and Friendship, to raise awareness and celebrate the achievements of the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada.
