CYM Canada’s Virtual Vyshkil – Day 5

The first week of our virtual counsellor-in-training camp came to a conclusion with another distinguished guest appearance, namely the President of the Ukrainian World Congress, Paul Grod, who has been a life-long active CYMivec and was awarded not too long ago the highest level of recognition “IV Suspilnyka”.

Druh Pavlo in his presentation asked the participants to think about and honestly answer the following very important questions: 1) Why do I belong to CYM? 2) How can I as an individual influence Canada’s foreign policy towards Ukraine as well as that of the international community? 3) How can we, as CYMivci assist in building a brighter and more prosperous future for Ukraine?

The final hour was dedicated once again to giving more practical advice in methodology and lesson planning. Khrystyna Zagirska from CYM Calgary presented effective methods of planning a lesson taking into account components such as theme, age of children and form of presentation. Daria Humenny from CYM Montreal introduced the older group to effective planning of a full-year CYM educational plan taking into account the various important historical, cultural and religious dates in a calendar year.
