How quickly the first week of CYM Canada’s virtual recreational camp came to an end. Today our young campers visited not one but two cities: Dnipro and Kherson.

In a virtual world with limitless possibilities the campers were guided through Dnipro by members of the local CYM Branch including Branch President Olya Ivanivna, who showcased the best the city has to offer. Once in Kherson, the campers received a brief lesson about one of the youngest and most recent political prisoners, a member of CYM Kherson, Oleksandr Shumkov, who has been confined to a Moscow prison for over two years. As a sign of solidarity and encouragement, the campers drew pictures of support.

The day concluded with a workshop on how to prepare and cook ‘halushky’, led once again by our guests from Dnipro, pani Olena, Anya and podruha Olya. We are extremely grateful for their participation in today’s session.

Look at our amazing young chefs!
