Thursday, July 18 at Veselka’s recreational overnight camp “Unbreakable” dedicated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, began with preparations for Ivana Kupala including making wreaths and crosses, along with learning festive songs for the occasion. Additionally, some of our campers had a chance to participate in building model rockets.

In the evening, our festivities began with a renewal of baptismal vows following with a camp fire where kids jumped over the fire in pairs and enjoyed an entertaining play on the backstory of Ivana Kupala. The celebration ended deep into the night with the oldest campers looking for the magical fern flower that symbolizes love.
