On Wednesday, July 17, at Veselka’s recreational overnight camp “Unbreakable” dedicated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our campers began the day with an informational presentation on Ukrainians competing at the Olympics in Paris, France. We continued with our daily rotations including a special guest from the fire department to teach campers on fire safety.

After our daily rotations the Olympic Games began with an opening ceremony including lighting the torch and giving oaths. Participating countries incuded Spain, Ukraine, Canada, Germany, and Argentina!  Our Olympics consisted of a series of track and field events, followed by team games after dinner including: basketball, volleyball, soccer baseball, and badminton. To conclude the day, many countries were awarded with ribbons and trophies!
