Official unveiling of CYM’s 75th in the Diaspora memorial plaque

On Sunday, April 25 in Munich the official unveiling of the memorial plaque dedicated to CYM in the diaspora 75th anniversary took place.

The plaque made out of bronze was blessed by the newly appointed Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Germany and Scandinavia, Bohdan Dzyurakh, and his predecessor Bishop-Emeritus Petro Kruk.

The plaque was designed by renowned sculptor Ihor Semak from Kalush, Ukraine. 

The plaque which was permanently mounted at the entrance of the Ukrainian Catholic Sobor of Holy Mary and Saint Andrew in Munich.

The plaque depicts an image of the patron saint, Archangel Michael, with the following dedication: «In honour of CYM’s founders in the Diaspora», dated Munich, 25 April, 1946 – the date of the first organizational meeting to reestablish CYM in the diaspora.
