We are delighted to inform you that the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada is celebrating its 75th Anniversary in Canada and kindly ask that you join us in marking this milestone by becoming a sponsor of our celebrations.
Throughout the last seven decades the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada has educated generations of young Ukrainians with the aim of instilling a sense of Ukrainian heritage, culture and identity. The multi-faceted program emphasizes the development of Christian ethics, good character, leadership skills and community involvement.
We will begin our 75th anniversary celebrations with a formal banquet in conjunction with our Annual General Meeting to be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at St. Josheph’s Banquet & Conference Center, 300 River Oaks Blvd. East, in Oakville, Ontario. Please find a flyer attached for your information.
Aside from the main celebration – April 29th, please allow us to inform you of additional events planned throughout the year in conjunction with CYM Canada’s 75th anniversary celebration.
- Over the Canada Day long weekend, a jamboree for the entire CYM family and friends will take place at camp Veselka in Acton, Ontario.
- This year’s summer camps will celebrate CYM Canada’s 75th and include a synchronized bonfire on July 22 at all UYA camps throughout Canada – Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and Manitoba.
- In light of the continuous influx of newcomers forced to flee the war against Ukraine, CYM Canada will be organizing for a second year in a row charitable summer camps throughout Canada for Ukrainian children titled “Gift a Child a Summer.”
- Our 75th anniversary will conclude in November with celebrations across Canada and finally, on Archangel Michael’s Day – CYM’s Patron Saint with Divine Liturgies dedicated to our founders.
