The Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada (CYM) held its XXX Triennial General Meeting March 1 – 3 in Etobicoke, Ontario. The event marked the 65th anniversary as well as the Symon Petliura Etobicoke Branch’s 50th anniversary.
70 delegates representing 10 Branches from across Canada participated in the three-day event. Aside from analyzing its program and discussing new membership strategies, the main focus was to elect a new National Executive:

Treasurer – Tamara Tataryn (Toronto)
Educational Council Director – Irka Shust-Dankowycz (Toronto)
Secretary – Olenka Laszczuk (Etobicoke)
Organizational Director – Petrusia Hontar (Mississauga)
Referent Druzhynnykiv – Andrij Semaniuk (Winnipeg)
Communications Director – Lidia Jendzjowsky (Toronto)
Director – Marijka Kobylecky (Mississauga)
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the host Branch in Etobicoke for having organized a wonderful event, including a banquet with over 500 guests in attendance celebrating the Association’s 65th as well as their own 50th anniversaries. MNOHAJA LITA !
Simultaneously with the XXX Triennial General Meeting the Association held a Leadership Seminar attended by 30 youth aged 16 – 21 years representing the following branches: Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Etobicoke, Mississauga and Hamilton.
We especially would like to congratulate the six individuals that successfully completed all four modules of the seminar:
