There is no time to be wasted which is why, unfortunately, we had to leave the beautiful Black Sea and continue our tour to Western Ukraine to the city of Ternopil.
Today’s tour guides were podruhy Natalya Melysh and Khrystyna Zagirskyj from CYM Calgary, who educated our campers about Ternopil’s beauty, history, famous people including Patriarch Joseph Slipyj and why Ternopil, generally speaking, is regarded to be a revolutionary city.
Podruha Natalya also conducted a short workshop on Ukraine’s famous vyshyvanky and how to embroider using the ‘borshchekivskyy” stitch.
