And so the camp at “Verkhovyna” has come to an end.
The last full day, Saturday, was packed from morning to night. The participants enjoyed a sports tournament, a traditional camp wedding, and a festive bonfire with wonderful performances from each group.
Sundays are always a little sad. After morning Mass, we had lunch together, followed by the camp’s closing ceremony. The farewell was bittersweet—everyone was happy, grateful for the moments we shared… and, without a doubt, ready for a good night’s sleep!
We sincerely thank the incredible camp team: Orest Vankevych — komendant , Danylo Radovenchyk —bunczuzhnyy , Larysa Luszczki—head counselor , Natalia Procikevych—camp nurse , Luás Valente, Natalia Kostiv, and Melania Schturyn—for leading the sports, crafts, and singing programs. Special thanks to our administration — Demyan Lysovych, Roman Blyszczak, and Ivan Kushnir—for ensuring the children’s safety and their tireless work around the camp. And, of course, we cannot fail to thank the delicious kitchen led by Fred Gervais, which treated us to delicious meals and a cheerful atmosphere every day.
A big thank you also goes to the camp committee led by Melania Czolij for organizing this unforgettable camp.
