CYM Australia strongly condemns the ongoing and unprovoked actions taken under the leadership of the Russian Federation. Its full-scale invasion of Ukraine’s territories, and, along with this, the unjustified death and terror to Ukraine’s people, highlights yet more forceful attempts at denying Ukrainians their right to statehood and independence.
CYM Australia asks you, our members, to continue to stand with Ukraine. You can do so by:
- Calling upon your respective governments and elected officials to stop Russia’s war and support Ukraine
- Countering the dissemination of false and fabricated information about Ukraine, and
- Sharing the truth about Ukraine’s heroic war in defence of its right to statehood and independence
Donations can also be made directly to the “CYM Humanitarian Aid Fund” – this fund materially assists CYM members and others who are defending Ukraine, helps with supporting affected CYM members who are victims of the Russian invasion, and assists in the evacuation and resettlement to safer territories in western Ukraine. Additionally, donations can be made to the “Ukraine Crisis Appeal”. This is a collaborative effort between AFUO, Rotary Australia and Caritas Ukraine.
