After successfully completing my 1st Marathon Challenge back in April 2017 in Manchester I have caught the Marathon bug
I have decided to embark on my 2nd marathon challenge on Sun 3rd Sept 2017 in my home city of Wolverhampton.
I will be raising much needed funds for another cause which is close to my heart The Ukrainian Youth Association of Great Britain for their building project of extending the Sumeniata (infants) Barracks which is now in the final stages.
About CYM Great Britain
The Ukrainian Youth Association (UYA or “CYM” in Cyrillic Ukrainian font) is an international, voluntary and non-profit organisation with branches throughout Great Britain. It was founded in Ukraine in 1925, and re-established in Great Britain in 1948, after the arrival of Ukrainian emigrants. It was also re-established in other countries around the world, (e.g. Germany, Belgium, France, USA, Canada, Australia), with the arrival of Ukrainian emigrants to those countries.
CYM has a long history of bringing Ukrainians together, organising events for them, instilling Christian ethics, good behaviour, leadership qualities and promoting Ukrainian culture.
The Ukrainian Youth Association in “Tarasivka” Weston on Trent, Derby, DE72 2BU, Great Britain, one of it’s main key events is the organising of it’s summer camps and they have done this for over 50 years now. The summer season offers our young members a unique opportunity to develop new friendships and skills, and to learn more about their Ukrainian national heritage in a beautiful, natural setting.
The new Sumeniata Barrack facilitates the infant’s early experiences of these wonderful summer camps…….
You can find more information and see all the good things that this organisation does for the Ukrainian communities and beyond on their website at https://cym.org/uk/
