1932-1933, a few years after Ukraine was forcibly incorporated into the Soviet Union, the Communist regime of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin embarked on a campaign to break the resistance of the Ukrainian people. Its plan was to engineer and brutally enforce a man-made famine, and starve Ukrainians into submission. This act of genocide was known as The Holodomor.
This weekend, the fourth weekend of November, 27th-28th November, we remember the millions of men, women and children starved to death. Let us remember the millions of victims of the Holodomor by placing a candle in the window of your homes on the 27th and 28th November 2021.
Ukraine remembers, the world recognises!
