Teplom Zihriyemo Sertsya – November 2016

Each year, our oseredok in the city of Yonkers participates in the action “Teplom Zihriyemo Sertsya.” Our riy “Chempiony,” like other royi, helped orphans in Ukraine. We collected clothing, goods, candy, toys, and books. We also purchased items for school, such as pencils, markers, and pens. This year as a riy we together filled backpacks that our oseredok purchased for these children. We are very happy that we were able to provide some warmth and happiness to these children!

Our riy Rakety was excited to participate in the act “Teplom Zihriyemo Sertsia” for the third year. This year our oseredok Yonkers assigned 3 orphans to each of our 12 royi to be sponsors for these children and we also had other members of our hromada volunteer to sponsor children. All together we filled and sent about 65 backpacks to Ukraine. Our riy sponsored Anastasia, age 7, Anna, age 8, and Victoria, age 8. Each of us went shopping and purchased things. The items we bought were school supplies, hats, gloves, pajamas, books, toys, and candy. During our schodyny we packed all of these items into backpacks. This act not only warmed the hearts of these children, but also being a part of this beautiful event warmed our hearts!
