The intense counsellor-in-training program begun on Monday, June 30.
In commemoration of the historical Independence Declaration of June 30, 1941 the majority of the sessions were dedicated to an overview of the history of Ukraine as well as the current events as they are unfolding in Ukraine.
The camp welcomed the guest speaker Markian Shwec – a prominent and longstanding member of the UYA of Canada as well as the current Chair of the Euromaidan Committee in Toronto.
Recreational activities included an “intense” game of football as well as a leisurely swim in Veselka’s “olympic sized” pool.
