The Russian Armed Forces are shelling peaceful cities, bringing death and terror to Ukraine and to the whole European continent in an attempt to subjugate Ukraine to Moscow’s imperial rule.

The World Executive of the Ukrainian Youth Association and its entire membership appeal to the international community to stand united with Ukraine and together stop Kremlin’s war against Ukraine. We call on all peace-loving nations to oppose Russia’s forceful attempt at denying the Ukrainian peoples’ right to statehood and independence. We specifically urge:

1. Establish a no-fly zоne over Ukraine;
2. Enacting the harshest possible sanctions on Russia, including removal from SWIFT;
3. Providing weapons and military equipment for Ukraine;
4. Censuring Russia from all international organizations, including the UN, Council of Europe and OSCE;
5. Providing financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

The UYA World Executive via its National Executives calls on its entire UYA membership to continue actively participating in the public rallies taking place in your country of residence in support of Ukraine’s independence with the aim of:

• Calling upon your respective governments and elected officials to stop Russia’s war and support Ukraine;
• Countering the dissemination of false and fabricated information about Ukraine;
• Sharing the truth about Ukraine’s heroic war in defense of its right to statehood and independence.

The UYA World Executive announces the establishment of a humanitarian crisis fund “Let’s support Ukraine”, designated specifically to:

• Materially assist (with clothing and supplies) UYA members, and others, who are defending Ukraine – in the Armed Forces, Territorial Defense Forces and as volunteers.
• Assist and support affected UYA members and their families, who are victims of the Russian invasion;
• Assist in the evacuation and resettlement to safer territories in western Ukraine,
