This year’s All-Canadian Counsellor-in-Training camp titled “Rozryta Mohyla” in memory of Taras Shevchenko’s 200th anniversary and dedicated to the “Heavenly Hundred” ended on Saturday, July 12 before noon.
During the closing ceremonies, the vyshkilnyky received their certificate of attendance as well as their commemorative camp pin. Irene Shust Dankowycz once again reminded all campers and their parents that this year’s camp was all about the Heroes of Maidan, the current war in Eastern Ukraine and above all about “What we as Canadian Ukrainian can do to help our brothers and sisters in Ukraine”.
In closing she thanked all membes of Komanda, vykhovnyj sklad, the kitchen staff as well as the maintenance crew at Veselka and wished everyone all the best and a safe trip home.
