The Ukrainian Youth Association’s “UA: Free People” charity camp is a space for caring and strong-spirited people.
Ten years ago, the Ukrainian Youth Association held its first event for children whose parents were soldiers defending our country, as well as for young people from the so-called “gray zone.”
This year, it brought together children of fallen and missing Ukrainian heroes, as well as children whose mothers are raising their sons and daughters on their own while serving in the military.

For them, the VII All-Ukrainian UYA Charity Camp UA: Free People became a new home for several days, where everyone is important.
Day after day, step by step, working with educators and instructors, meeting numerous guests, communicating with each other during classes, trips, games, and master classes, the children opened up, overcame internal barriers, and fought the effects of stress.
Some of the campers were visiting the charitable camp for the first time, while for others it was a return to a community they already knew, which they had become acquainted with several years ago and in which they had found understanding, mentors, and sincere friends.

We believe that “UA:Free People” has become such a community for all its participants—caring, open-minded, strong-spirited young Ukrainians, for whose benefit we work in the ranks of the Ukrainian Youth Association.
It is noteworthy that the “UA:Free People” camp was once again held with the support of caring people from all over the world, with the participation of educators who, as in 2015, came here following their hearts, as well as new members of our team.

This time, instructors from the National Forces Association (NFA) and the National Guard of Ukraine worked side by side with us. Instructors in tactical medicine, orienteering, and veterans camped with us.
We sincerely thank each and every one who responded and helped us make the UYA charitable summer camp for the children of Heroes rich, useful, and informative!

A sincere thank you to all our donors who gave so generously via the GoFundMe platform and made this camp possible in the first place!
