More Info: Branch #2 of the Organization for the Defense of Lemko Western Ukraine in America (OOL) invites you to commemorate the tragic events of Aktsia Visla which occurred 70 years ago. There will be a panahyda after the 10am mass and a short program in the Church hall downstairs.

What: Mother’s Day Celebration and Sviatochnyj Apel

When: Tuesday, May 9^th, 2017 7:30pm – 8pm

More Info: Join us for this short program and reception in celebration of our mothers!! Yunatstvo must be in full odnostroji for this sviatochnyj apel.

The two youngest groups will be performing for this program:

–          Zirochky group (Sumeniata ages 4-5), Instructor Michelle Andrews

–          Burya group (Ages 6-9) – Instructor Myron Kuzemczak

IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN PERFORMING

–          All children participating will require costumes that will also be used for zlet and the festival.

–          Each costume requires a $100 deposit (check preferable) which will be returned after the festival

–          Costumes can be picked up Tuesday 4/25 and 5/2

–          Each group requires 2 parents to help distribute the costumes, collect deposits, and assist in collecting the costumes after the festival. Please speak to Michelle or Myron if you can help.

What: Charity Camp “Tree of Life” in Ukraine in 2017

When: July 31 – August 12, 2017

More Info: CYM World Executive Board has sent us information regarding the Ukrainian Charitable camp case “Tree of Life”. This third year of the camp will be held in Ukraine from July 31 – August 12, 2017 for children who have been affected by the fighting in eastern Ukraine. This youth camp for 120 children is organized by the National Executive Board of CYM in Ukraine under the auspices of the World Executive Board of CYM.

It will require the help of CYM-in America for this camp to successfully take place. For the first time, this requires sumivtsi camp-counselors and instructors of sports, dancing and singing to help run this camp.

We also ask CYM families and oseredky in America support the camp financially. All money raised will cover the cost of the camp for the children. Last year, our membership in the US has managed to raise $6,500 to make this camp a great success!

I hope that we are able to contribute to the cost of this project!

What: Medical equipment for Wounded Ukrainian Soldiers – your help needed

What: The Ukrainian American Relief Committee will be sending a van to the Yonkers area in the near future.
