Tabir ”Chervona Ruta” at Veselka – Opening Ceremony

On Sunday, July 14 the overnight recreational camp “Chervona Ruta” dedicated to the memory of Volodymyr Ivasjuk officially began.

This year’s camp is being attended by 102 children and 35 counsellors, members of komanda and technical personal.

As customary the official opening ceremony began with a liturgy, celebrated by Rev. Andrij Figol, followed by the first “apel”, where Yuri Broda, president of the National Executive of the Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada welcomed all campers and parents in attendance.

Later that evening the campers got to familiarize themselves with their new surroundings and to build their first friendships.
