Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever run a marathon especially having reached the milestone age of 50!
As you are all aware I ran the sunny Manchester marathon on Sunday 2nd April 2017 and got over the finishing line in 5 hrs 2 min and 50 secs!!! and raised £3,200.92p in aid of the families of A.T.O. (British-Ukrainian Aid).

After the success of completing my first marathon I felt I also needed to raise something for my ukrainian brothers and sisters in the UK.
So on the 3rd of September 2017 I ran in my hometown marathon, Wolverhampton.
More than 2000 competitors took part on a drizzly day. On this occasion I was running to raise funds for the Sumeniata building Project at Tarasivka.

As a sumivets, I have many wonderful memories of my times spent during the summer camps in Tarasivka, where we exchanged and shared friendships and good times with the other ukrainian communities in the UK. Those were some of the best days of my childhood.
As Tarasivka already had an ongoing project which required financial help, this was the perfect opportunity for me to give something back.
I successfully completed my 2nd marathon in 5hrs 38 min and 55 secs.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have kindly donated and supported me on my challenges, especially my fellow work colleagues (The Posties at Royal Mail in Wolverhampton and Stoke Mail Centres) and not forgetting everyone else who contributed in helping me reach the Unbelievable Amount of £2276.17p for this most worthy cause.

Both challenges I felt I completed only In Service to God and Ukraine!

God Bless You All!Mychailo Fedyk – Holova CYM Wolverhampton
