Younger members of Hoverla perform at International Women’s Day Event in Derby

Younger members of Hoverla Ukrainian Dance Ensemble performed on Saturday March 5^th 2016 at the Market Place for International Women’s Day to live musicians. The 6 girls performed 2 dances – Honiviter & Kozaczok on a built stage in a Marquee specially erected to keep the event dry.

Other groups from the City’s ethnic minority communities also participated such as Shakti Arts (Bollywood dancers), Normanton Women’s Choir and Hannah Fay (funk, soul & jazz singer) to make the day a very colourful event. It was the first time the younger members performed at such a prestigious event on their own and credit to them all ! The audience were also very appreciative of their performance by giving them a resounding send off.
