This is just a quick end-of-year reminder of the National Committee’s decision to improve and extend the current so-called “Sumeniata barack” in Tarasivka, and our call to oseredky for financial support. The call was originally launched at the end of this year’s summer camps, since when we have finalized architectural drawings, obtained planning permission and have started laying the foundations of the new extension. We hope to see the extension at least partially functioning during next summer’s camps.
The National Committee took this decision as it has been apparent for some time that the existing wooden barack, where sumeniata hold their hutirky and other activities, is in a poor state of repair and frequent repairs and patching no longer make financial sense.
We call on the Ukrainian community in the UK, but above all our CYM members to help us complete this latest building project, which will help further enhance the facilities in Tarasivka.
Cheques should be made out to the Ukrainian Youth Association, whilst cash donations can be channelled through local branches (oseredky).
Many thanks in advance for your support.
