On Saturday, February 1st, friends and family of the Ukrainian American community gathered for Chicago CYM’s annual Christmas luncheon. Guests were treated to a program which included the yunatstvo and the Chicago CYM choir caroling together. Traditional dishes such as varenyky, borscht, and holubtsi were enjoyed by the guests. The event featured a Svyatchene Slovo, read by Podruha Mariana Semanyshyn, as well as a few guest speakers who graciously donated to the Chicago branch. Hosting the event was Podruha Solomia Kovalenko.
