Lemko Seminar (Akcja Wisla)

Presentation by OOL National President Mark Howansky on Lemkivshchyna and Akcja Wisla.

On Friday, March 10th, National President of the Organization for the Defence of Lemkivshchyna (OOL) gave a lecture on Lemko history and culture, which included information about Akcja “Wisla”, the 1947 forced resettlement of the Ukrainian minority (including Boykos and Lemkos) from the south-eastern provinces of post-war Poland to the north-western Recovered Territories.  CYM is honoring the 70th anniversary of this tragedy by including it in their teaching materials.
