Saturday 1 August: Awesome spectacle of Tabir welcoming the children of Heroes from Ukraine. A very emotional experience.
Sunday 2 August: Opening ceremony and start of the official programme. Laughter, enjoyment, everyone taking part… and such a beautiful day. Does it get any better than this? J
Monday 3 August: At 06.30am I’m with stika watching the sun rise above the barracks and listening to the poplar trees gently rustling. This is truly a heavenly place to be, with great company and my favourite cup of coffee! True happiness! Popped in to see sumeniata. We sang, laughed and coloured in pictures of a king and queen. Molodshi were learning about Ukrainian heroes and creating their own Ukrainian super-hero! Starshi were singing and improving their language skills. So much going on, fantastically organised and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
I just know that this is going to be an excellent week in the 50th anniversary of summer tabir at Tarasivka. Which reminds me – I need to order my anniversary hoodie!
