Each year the committee of the Bradford Branch of the Ukrainian Youth Association selects a good deed in observation of St. Michael’s Day. This year’s good deed, is to participate in the international CYM charity event of “With kindness, we warm hearts!”, the task of which is the collection of Mykolaj gifts for children of Ukrainian fighters and children of forced migrants from Donbas.

Preparation for this action has now begun. The distribution of gifts will be before St. Nicholas (Mykolaj) day (December 19). During the four years of the “With kindness we warm hearts” campaign, sumivtsi from around the world have collected and delivered over 7,000 gifts to Ukraine.

We would like to collect gifts for children and call on our members to support this action. The approximate cost of one package for a child is £15.
The deadline for collecting gifts is 25 November 2018, so that they can be delivered to Ukraine by 10 December 2018.

Gifts can be passed to any member of the oseredok committee or left at the Ukrainian Social Club in Bradford. CYM will also have a stall at the OUZ Autumn bazar in November, where they will collect gifts or if you prefer to donate cash instead and committee members will then buy gifts for the children.

We will also have a sweet stall with the money raised going towards buying items for the good deed.
