All You Need To Know

What is Oseredkoviy Zlet?

Oseredkoviy Zlet is a CYM-GB inter-oseredok and okryha competition involving a series of activities incorporating sports and other non-sporting activities. Oseredky and members of CYM-GB are invited to join us and take part in the first running of this event.

What will happen at Zlet?
Zlet will give you the opportunity to represent your Oseredok as a team or individually. Following structures of regular Tabir, we will open and close daily with Molytva, but this time it will include prize giving. At the end of the event we will have a winning Oseredok and will hand over the Oseredkoviy Zlet Trophy! We hope this will be a fun, welcoming event that all can enjoy.

Why should I come to Zlet?
Zlet is another opportunity for you to take part in CYM-GB activities. It is a great chance to take advantage of the May Bank Holiday and spend time with friends and fellow CYMivtsi from across the U.K. Not to mention demonstrating different skills and learning new ones. Zlet will encourage high standards of achievement, encourage physical activity, build discipline, teach how to lose well and deal with disappointments, and builds camaraderie and teamwork.

I’m not sporty, can I still come to Zlet?
Yes! Of course you can. Zlet is not all about sports and it will include lots of non-sport activities. This includes social media activities like Instagram photo competitions. We’ll have spelling bees, quizzes, varenyky making contests (and eating) and much, much more! If you don’t want to get involved in the activities there is still a need for volunteers to help run the weekend.

When and where is Zlet?
Zlet will be from Friday 8th until Sunday 10th May 2020 at Tarasivka (Weston-on-Trent, Derby DE72 2BU). All activities will take place on the Territory of Tarasvika.

Who can come to Zlet?
Zlet is open to all CYMivtsi in the UK. From Sumeniata to Seniory, with Yunatstvo and Druzhnynyky in between. We do have to remind you however, that this is not a regular tabir, so under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

How much will Zlet cost?
The full weekend at Zlet will cost £40 per adult and £30 per child. Discounts will be applied for multiple children and for both parents attending. This will cover food and accommodation while at Tarasivka.

Where will I stay at Zlet?
Initially we’ll fill rooms in the new Barack and the Sumeniata barack. Depending on numbers we can then use the boys and girls barracks on the ploscha. If lots of you sign up, we may need tents, but we’ll talk to you about that later.

I want to help, how can I get involved in the running and organising of Zlet?
We want Zlet to be open and welcoming to all and we would encourage anybody willing to participate in the running and organising of Zlet to get involved. Get in touch with us now and we can discuss how you can help us.
