You are most likely aware, that the World Health Organization, yesterday declared the coronavirus (Covid 19) a world epidemic and as a result every country, province, city is in the process of establishing its own guidelines to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Since we deliver our educational programs to our youth primarily through weekly meetings as well as periodically organize meetings with our general membership, we remind everyone TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR MEMBERSHIP AND COMMIT TO DOING OUR PART TO STOP THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS.
With the above said in mind, the National Executive asks all Branches to cancel their weekly meetings and any other planned events (Ontario for instance just announced the closure of schools for an additional three weeks) in order to avoid any unnecessary contact which is the most effective line of defence in combatting the spread of the virus.
