Welcome back after a deserved rest over the weekend ……
The second week of Vyshkil began already on Sunday, July 6 with Father Bohdan Choly from St. Catharines celebrating Holy Mass.
In the evening the campers had the privilege to meet Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and a long standing CYMivec, who informed the campers of the role the UCC plays in today’s situation in Ukraine and how they can participate in forming public opinion and putting pressure on the Government of Canada to assist Ukraine in these difficult times.
On Monday, July 7 the campers welcomed special guests Morris Hucal, member of well known Ukrainian band “ZIRKA” as well as Fedir Danylak, artistic director of the Barvinok School of Dance. Campers received additional instruction in CYMoznavstvo, current events in Ukraine as well as the 25th anniversary of CYM in Ukraine. Campers also had a last chance to complete their multimedia projects .
Another beautiful afternoon spent relaxing by the pool was also part of the daily routine.
