On Wednesday, July 2 camp celebrated Michael Zelyk’s birthday.
The main focus of the program continued to be on current events in Ukraine as well as leadership and how to work with younger children. Special guest of the day was Lida Narozniak, President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Ontario Provincial Council and a lifelong leading member of CYM, who introduced the counsellors to basic concepts of bullying, punishment and other forms of harassment.
Yaroslav Broda introduced some basic concepts of Vporiad and Ulana Stasyszyn joined the Vykhovnyj sklad.
On a long awaited beautiful sunny afternoon, the entire camp first enjoyed a game of frizzball as well as relaxing by the pool. In the evening Fedir Danylak, artistic director of the Barvinok School of Dance instructed the campers in modern dance.
