Dr. Ulana Suprun was nominated for the position of Deputy Minister of Health by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman with the support of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
In addition, as Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine, Dr. Suprun was appointed Acting Minister of Health of Ukraine.
Prior to moving to Ukraine Dr. Ulana Suprun was a member of the UYA New York Branch.
An active medical aid worker during the EuroMaidan protests, Dr. Suprun quickly understood the health care needs in Ukraine and, together with her husband Marko, worked to find practical and impactful solutions. Dr. Suprun was a founder of the extremely successful UWC humanitarian initiative Patriot Defence
