Celebrating Alberta’s 100 Anniversary Camp 2005
The camp took place on July 17 to July 30 in the Rocky Mountains
Camp 2005 Itinerary
July 17/05 -Trip to camp at Pigeon Lake, official opening 6:00pm
July 18/05 -Trip to the Ukrainian Cultural Village.
July 19/05 -Prepare and Pack for our nine day camping trip in the mountains
July 20/05 -Leave Pigeon Lake, Camp St. Basil 9;00 am for Switzer Provincial Park, Jasper area, picnic lunch along the way
July 21/05 -1/3 of group to the Cadomin Caves
-1/3 of group to Miette Hot springs (Sulphur mountain climb then swim)
-1/3 of group to Athabasca Falls then tour Jasper
July 22/05 -1/3 of group to the Cadomin Caves
-1/3 of group to Miette Hot springs (Sulphur mountain climb then swim)
-1/3 of group to Athabasca Falls then tour Jasper
July 23/05 -1/3 of group to the Cadomin Caves
-1/3 of group to Miette Hot springs (Sulphur mountain climb then swim)
-1/3 of group to Athabasca Falls then tour Jasper
July 24/05 -Leave Switzer Provincial park to Two Jack Main by Lake Minnewanka in Banff, along the way we would stop at The Columbia Ice Fields for approx. 2 hours. Picnic Lunch
July 25/05 -All go white water river rafting outside of Canmore, at Rainbow Riders Adventure tours.
July 26/05 -Hiking in Johnson Canyon and trip to Lake Louise
July 27/05 -Tour Banff and immediate area
July 28/05 -Return to Pigeon Lake, stopping along the way in Calgary for a tour of the Zoo and lunch.
July 29/05 -Tour of the Reynolds Museum
July 30/05 -Jamboree, campfire, dance, special activities all day, with a special invitation to the community.
July 31/05 -Official closing ceremony 1:00pm
